Drawing on their respective judicial perspectives, the speakers will explore how courts interpret and apply international legal rules, assess the scope of legal obligations and address questions arising from contemporary challenges. The discussion will consider how courts approach the relationship between different branches of international law and how their judgments are implemented in practice. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between international courts and national authorities, the importance of State cooperation, and the challenges of securing compliance with judicial decisions.
